Focus 2026.10 - Live Call Comments in Teams, Delete with Undo, and Quicker Admin
Focus 2026.10 lets you comment on a Teams call while it's still happening.
Add a note in the Focus panel in Teams the moment something important is said, and it's pinned to that exact point in the recording, ready for whoever reviews the call next. Alongside that, users with the right permission can now delete a communication outright, with a five-minute window to change their mind. The Home dashboard works in your own time zone, endpoints can be sorted however you need, and building out your group structure takes fewer steps.
Comment on Teams Calls as They Happen
The best time to note something about a call is while it's happening. Until now, that meant remembering the moment and finding it in the recording afterwards. In 2026.10, the Comments tab in the Focus panel in Teams lets you add comments during a live call or meeting.
- Pinned to the moment. Each comment is placed at the point in the recording where you added it, and the panel shows you exactly where that will be before you post.
- On the recording, automatically. Once the call ends and the recording is processed, your comments appear on it in Focus, alongside any added afterwards, with your name and the time you wrote them.
- See what others have noted. Comments added by colleagues on the same call show in the panel too, and land on the same recording, so nothing has to be pieced together later.
A few ways to use it:
- Compliance: an adviser flags the moment a customer confirms they've understood the terms, so a reviewer can go straight to it.
- Complaints and escalations: a complaint is marked as soon as it's raised, so the right part of the call is ready for whoever handles it next.
- Coaching: a team leader on the call notes a great piece of handling, or a missed opportunity, at the exact moment it happens.
- Follow-ups: a promised callback or action is noted mid-call, so it's never lost between the call ending and the notes being written up.
Live comments can be added while the call is in progress. Once it ends, carry on in Focus as usual.
Delete, with Time to Undo
Some communications need to go now, not when their retention period ends. If your organisation turns it on, users with permission can now delete a communication directly.
- Delete is an option you control. An administrator enables it with Enable communication delete option in the Retention section of the Account page, and it's available to users with the Compliance User role.
- There's time to change your mind. A deleted communication expires after five minutes. Until then, you can undo the delete by updating its retention date.
- Retention dates and delete each have their own job. When you update a retention date, the new date must be at least 72 hours from now, unless you're extending it. That applies to single and bulk updates alike, and leaves delete as the clear, deliberate route for anything that needs to go sooner.
See Retention for the full detail.
A Home Dashboard in Your Time Zone
The Home dashboard now works on your day, wherever you are.
- Daily figures follow your own time zone, with each recording counted once on the day it happened, so the dashboard lines up exactly with the Communications grid.
- The volume chart is labelled by calendar day, and is available on every account, including those without groups.
- A clear message if the chart can't load, with Try again and the error code SF-10042 to quote to support.
- A cleaner stats banner that keeps to a simple greeting when there's nothing new to report.
Everyday Admin, Fewer Clicks
- Sort your endpoints. The Endpoints list can now be sorted, so you can put it in the order that suits you. See Endpoints.
- Build group structures in one go. After you create a group, it stays selected, so you can start adding subgroups straight away. Security and tag groups now need a name before they can be created, so no more unnamed groups in the list. See Groups.
Behind the Scenes
As usual, this release also includes security and reliability improvements across the platform, and further tightening of how we build and ship Focus.
Focus 2026.10 is about capturing what matters while it's happening: comments in the moment, deleting a call when you need to with time to change your mind, a dashboard that follows your working day, and admin tasks that get out of your way.
As always, if any of this changes how you work day to day, get in touch and we will walk you through it.
